2025-2026 TK/Kindergarten Registration
Starting Thursday,February 27 Briggs School District will begin to accept registration for the students entering Transitional Kindergarten and Kindergarten for the 2025-2026 school year. Students enrolling in Kindergarten must be five years of age by September 1, 2025; students who turn five years of age between September 2, 2025 and June 2, 2026 are eligible to enroll for Transitional Kindergarten (TK).
Requirements to Register New Students for 2024-25 School Year
Briggs School District is registering for Transitional Kindergarten through 8th grade for the 2024-25 school year. Olivelands School has grades TK-4th and Briggs School has grades 5th-8th.
Students enrolling for Kindergarten must be five years of age by September 1, 2024; students who turn five years of age between September 2, 2024 and June 2, 2025 are eligible to enroll for Transitional Kindergarten (TK)
Once you complete the online pre-enrollment forms, you will be contacted by the Olivelands and Briggs School secretaries to finalize the enrollment. For TK-4th, you will be contacted by Mrs. Enriquez (senriquez@briggsesd.org) and for 5th-8th, you will be contacted by Mrs. Acosta (macosta@briggsesd.org). They will set up an appointment with you to verify the following documentation.
You will need to present the following documentation to register. You can do this by attaching pictures or scanned documents and email the secretaries OR you can fax copies to the school office.
1. Verification of Student Date of Birth:
✓ Original Birth Certificate, Passport, Certified Hospital Birth Record, or duly attested Baptismal Record.
2. Verification of Immunizations:
Bring the immunization record once completed for grades TK-K. Your child must have all vaccinations needed by the first day of school. The following vaccinations are REQUIRED for school entry:
✓ 5- DTap, 4- Polio, 3- Hepatitis B, 2- MMR, 2- Varicella for initial enrollment in public school
✓ Tdap is required for students enrolling in the 7th or 8th grade
3. Proof of Residency (TWO of the following is required) - Document must be dated within 30 days
✓ Gas, Water, Electric, Telephone, Cable, rental or lease agreement, mortgage statement, driver’s license or government ID, pay stub, bank statement, government agency correspondence and credit card statement. Bill must have parents’ name and date on the document.
4. Physical Examination (CHDP):
✓ Only for Transitional Kindergarten and Kindergarten
✓ Health Examination for school entry required
✓ Health forms can be downloaded and printed from the Enrollment page on the schools' website
5. Oral Health Assessment:
✓ Only for Transitional Kindergarten and Kindergarten
✓ Oral Health Assessment for school entry required
✓ Oral Health Forms can be downloaded and printed from the Enrollment page on the schools' website
6. Legal Custody papers – if there are any legal court orders or foster placement papers, please bring a copy as the school needs a validated copy for the students' records.
7. Special Education:
✓ Only if your child has an IEP individualized Education Program, please bring a copy of the IEP.
